Advancing SeaChange® 2030 Sustainability Goals

Thai Union Group is committed to safeguarding the world’s oceans, as part of the commitments under its SeaChange® 2030 global sustainability strategy.

Those commitments include a goal to remove 1,500 tons of ocean-bound plastic from waterways and oceans by 2030.

In pursuit of this goal, Thai Union has partnered with Second Life to collect plastic debris from coastal and remote islands in southern Thailand. This collaboration will help the company reach its 2030 target.

In addition, Thai Union actively participates in global clean-up campaigns, with a special focus on World Ocean Day and International Coastal Clean Up Day activities across Thailand, Europe and Africa.

In 2024, Thai Union removed over 14 tons of trash from diverse aquatic and coastal environments, including mangroves, beaches and rivers in countries such as Thailand, Ghana, Seychelles, the U.K., Norway, the U.S., the Netherland, Portugal, France and Italy.

Goal : Make Thailand’s shores plastic-free and scale our model throughout Southeast Asia.
